So proud of my sister-in-law

Momma said, “publish this please” after I read it to her.

My brother and his wife raise seeing eye dogs.

Their first is Enrique. A sweet yellow lab 6 weeks old was just a puppy and now they must let him go. He has a very important job to do.

Susan Caplan wrote this beautiful poem for her pup…

Let my eyes be your eyes,
I will stay by your side.
I will take you to places,
I will be your guide.
Let my eyes be your eyes,
there is nothing to fear.
We will go far and wide,
I will always be near.
Let my eyes be your eyes,
your night will become day.
I won’t venture far,
with you I will stay.
Let my eyes be your eyes,
whether at work or at play.
I will be with you always,
let me show you the way.
And when I get older and I am retired;
there will be a new pup
who was especially sired,
to have his eyes be your eyes.
